A Few Words

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Let’s make an Irish themed drink because that’s what the internet is doing! This is a take on the classic Old Fashioned developed by Jack McGarry, the co-founder of The Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog in NYC (the Dead Rabbit book is amazing by the way. Highly recommended!). This is a damn good drink. The Benedictine gives it some nice herbaceous qualities while not making things too sweet. The bitters round everything out and gives it the spice it needs to still be called an Old Fashioned. Cheers!
