A Few Words

The first published recipe for Remember the Maine comes from Charles H. Baker’s, “A Gentleman’s Companion” in 1933. If the Sazerac and a Manhattan had a baby it would be this cocktail, so if you enjoy either of those, definitely give this one a try. This is how I like to make mine. It looks more purple in the photo than it actually is, probably the lighting at the time. Cherry on the nose with a oak and floral finish. A nice sipper for the Holidays. Merry Christmas everyone! Cheers!
