The Maple Story


2 oz Applejack
¾ oz Beach Plum Liqueur
½ oz Amontillado Sherry
¼ oz Cynar
¼ oz Maple Syrup
3 Dashes of Aromatic bitters

What To Do

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice. Stir. Strain. Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick and grate some cinnamon on top. Serve.

A Few Words

Thought I’d come up with a nice Applejack sipper after I got my hands on a bottle of the awesome Starlight Applejack brandy. I felt the baking spice characteristics of the plum liqueur really make a nice pairing with it. To keep with the fall/winter theme, I used maple syrup as the sweetener. The Cynar, bitters, and sherry gives it some edge while keeping it all balanced. Cheers!
