Tiki Makes Me Squeeky


1 oz Barbados Dark Rum
1 oz White Rum
½ oz Aperol
¼ oz Allspice Dram
½ oz Pineapple Shrub (recipe below)
¾ oz Lime Juice
3 Dashes of Tiki Bitters
Some Whole Nutmeg

What To Do

Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Shake well with ice. Strain into in a tiki mug. Microplane some fresh nutmeg over the drink. Garnish with everything you have in your kitchen.

For Shrub: Fill a mason jar with pineapple chunks. Cover with apple cider vinegar. Seal. Let it sit for at least 7 days. When done, strain into a saucepan and add 1/2 cup or so of sugar. Get it to temperature so the sugar melts. Cool. Store. Done.

A Few Words

I’m a sucker for a good Tiki Drink. I’m sorry… but if receiving a drink with 5 garnishes, a plastic monkey, and a paper umbrella thrown on top doesn’t make you happy, then I don’t think we can be friends. This one wasn’t too sweet and had some nice spice flavors. Slightly bitter at the end but the rum still comes through. Cheers!
