2 oz Cachaca
½ Lime
2 Barspoons of Demerara Sugar

What To Do

Quarter half a lime. Put the pieces in a shaker tin with the sugar. Muddle together well. Add cachaca and ice. Shake for a bit. Dump everything into a rocks glass.

Happy Memorial Day! I decided to post a great outdoor drink to enjoy on this sunny holiday. If you’ve never had a Caipirinha, it’s Brazil’s national cocktail and made with their version of rum called Cachaca. This is a rustic drink. It should be kind of haggard looking. Undissolved sugar. Pieces of lime pith. All welcomed and gives this drink character. So refreshing. Cheers!
