A Few Words

This cocktail was created at the famous Carousel Bar in New Orleans by bartender Walter Bergeron in the late 1930s. This is a great sipper if you’re into Old Fashions, or more similarly, Manhattans. The Benedictine gives it some nice herbal notes and a very complex flavor overall. I recommend going to Hotel Monteleone in NOLA and getting one there for the true experience (though make sure to make a few at home till then). FYI… I upped the bitters a tad in my recipe because I tend to enjoy a spicier cocktail. Cheers!
